Dr Damien Herron
Graduated from Manchester University in 2001 and gained further qualifications in general medicine (MRCP) and family planning (DFFP) before completing his general practice training in 2008 (MRCGP.) He is a GP trainer (Medical Education MSc.)
Dr Jane Wareing
Graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2005 with honours and gained further qualifications in family planning (DFSRH+LoC) before completing her general practice training in 2011 (MRCGP.)
Dr Kate Rogers
Graduated from Southampton medical school in 2014. She also holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Leeds. She completed her GP training in 2019 and has completed a post-graduate GP fellowship in Palliative Care.
Dr Saira Khan
Graduated from University of Leeds in 2013 with honors and completed her GP training in 2018. She is continuing to develop her interest in Diabetes as part of a post-graduate GP fellowship.
Dr Andrew Graham
Graduated from University of Cambridge in 2018 and completed his GP training whilst on placement here at Primrose Surgery in 2023.

Our Practice Staff
The Practice Management Team
Involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
The team supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Administration Team
Our administration team include a medicines management team, administrators, secretaries and receptionists.
Our staff have important roles within the practice and are happy to provide you with information and ensure you get the help and support you need.
Our Health Care Team
Community Midwives
Work with the doctors to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care of the baby for the first fortnight of life. Telephone to book an appointment: 0161 746 2858 (24-hour number).
District Nurses
Provide nursing treatment to the housebound and patients recently discharged from hospital. They also run sessions at Woodsend Clinic daily between 14:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays). They can help with minor injuries, dressings, injections and removal of stitches. These sessions are by appointment only and can be booked by ringing 0300 323 0303 .
Health Visitors
Visit all families with children under five years of age. They provide information, health promotion, advice and support to all age groups. Telephone: 0161 748 2820
Macmillan Nurses
Visit and care for patients living with cancer in their homes and gives advice and support to their families. Telephone: 0161 746 2080

Education and Training
The practice has been involved in the education and training of GP registrars.
These are fully qualified doctors who spend time with us to complete their GP training under the mentorship of the doctors Appointments can be offered with our current Registrar GPs.
Our practice has links to Manchester University and medical students often train with us for short periods.
If you do not wish to have the student present during your consultation please inform the reception staff prior to seeing the doctor.
